‘74 and older vehicles can be registered when we are at the Baxter Auto Parts North Store on Friday morning, in Drake Park after 2 p.m. on Friday, or after 8 a.m. on Saturday. Participants can also visit our web site, www.centraloregonclassicchevyclub.com, to get the pre-registration form for 2008.

The fun starts on Friday at the Baxter North Auto Parts Store for our Pre-Show ‘n Shine, with music by our DJ, Wade Fagen. After a Fun Run around town, participants will “Cruz” to Drake Park for our Pre- Registration Party. “JP and The SoulSearchers” will perform in Drake Park starting at 6 p.m. This is free to the public.

Saturday we begin parking the classic vehicles at 7 a.m. in Drake Park for the Show ‘n Shine. The official start of the event at 8 a.m. begins with the playing of the Star Spangled Banner. Scores of beautifully built and restored classic vehicles will be on display from 8 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m. when we present the “Best Of” Trophies to 65+ winners. The first 300 spectators will be given ballots to select the “People’s Choice” award. This is all free to the public with bus service from Drake Park to Downtown from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We hope to have a special display of three Drag Race cars by Bucky Austin of Seattle during the Show ‘n Shine and also during the “Cruz” again in 2008.

We have special ADA parking during our event in Drake Park on Saturday, for accommodations and/or other information contact me at 382-9370.

Spectators should be ready to feast on the sights and sounds of the ‘74 and older classic vehicles. The closed “Cruz” will be on the Downtown streets from 6:45 – 9 p.m. A “Winners” Parade Lap will start at 6:45 p.m. There is music at Minnesota and Wall Street by a local group, “JP and The Soulsearchers”, also free to the public from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Silent Auction/Raffle sales will benefit Mt. Bachelor Rotary’s charity Assistance League of Bend.

On Sunday we meet at Riverfront Plaza at 9:30 a.m. for the “Cruz” to Mt. Bachelor for the Car Olympics.

This event is sponsored by the Central Oregon Classic Chevy Club. Information is available at www.centraloregonclassicchevyclub.com, the Club web site, or by calling Ray & Joan at 382-9370.
