
2nd Street Theater is proud to announce the five time Tony Award winning musical Sweet Charity, book by Neil Simon, music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields running May 29th through June 28th. Opening night will feature a dessert and champagne reception before the show, starting at 7pm.
Sweet Charity will run for 23 performances, Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm. Tickets are $21.00 Adults and $18.00 for Students and Seniors (62 and up). Call the 2nd Street Theater box office at 312-9626 for ticket reservations or online at 2ndstreettheater.com.
Charity Hope Valentine is a dance hall girl with a heart of gold. She just wants to be loved but keeps falling for the wrong guy. This classic musical comedy features such hit songs as Big Spender and If My Friends Could See Me Now.
Sweet Charity is directed by Erik Doyle and features Vanessa Farnsworth as Charity. The large cast also includes Meredith Arnoldt, Laura Lee Callan, Brenda Courtwright, Kari Doyle, Kayla George, George Honnell, Kym Issacs, Anna Johnson, Brad Knowles, Melanie Mahoney, Jolie Miller, Alyssa Morrow, Brad Ruder, Bernadette Strome, Michelle Torsen, Chyanne Wall, Helen Watts, Laura Wegner, Nathan Wegner and Lori White, choreography by Holly Cambern and Gail Bartley and music direction by Jan Woodward.
